Maydot Support

Hello
My name is Netaya, and I am 26 years old. Since the age of 3, Albury has been my cherished home. I have a deep passion for empowering vulnerable, disadvantaged and young people to pursue their dreams and seize the opportunities that allow them to live the lives they envision for themselves.
My Story
My own journey has been deeply shaped by my experiences supporting young individuals with diagnosed disabilities, as my younger brother was diagnosed at just 3 years old, long before the NDIS was on the horizon. I have been actively involved in my brother’s day-to-day life, celebrating his successes and learning from our shared challenges along the way.
After completing year 12 in 2016, I embarked on a path of further education, earning my Cert IV in Community Services and advancing to my Diploma in the same field. I also pursued a Graduate Certificate in Developmental Trauma, driven by a commitment to understanding the complexities of my work.
My career began as a Therapeutic Youth Worker in an Intensive Therapeutic House, where I had the privilege of supporting young people facing complicated challenges. In February 2022, I transitioned to an OOHC case manager role, a position I truly loved as it allowed me to be a part of and witness remarkable outcomes for some children. However, I felt there were so many gaps and I knew I had more to offer. The system, while important, didn’t always serve every child and family in the way they needed, and I reached a point where I needed to find a better way to make a difference.
So, I decided to take a bold leap and create my own support service, empowering me to better assist and uplift the families I work with. Transitioning into this independent role is not just a career move for me; it is a calling, and I am excited to embrace the journey ahead. My goal is to try and bridge some of the gaps in the support service sector and do better for our community.
